Coronavirus (COVID-19)

COVID-19 virus particles

This is our dedicated COVID-19 page. We have put together all the useful information patients may need in one place. If there is anything you think would also be useful to have on here, please feel free to contact the surgery and we will look into adding it. Please use the quick links below to jump down the page if you are looking for something specific. For up-to-date advice and guidance, visit the NHS web pages dedicated to COVID-19.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

We have invited patients who are eligible for a Spring Booster Covid-19 Vaccination via SMS, which allows patients to book directly into the clinic, and phone calls.

You are eligible to receive a Spring Booster vaccination if you are:

  • 75 years and over
  • Resident in a care home or nursing home
  • 6 months and over and immunosuppressed

If you have previously declined these vaccinations you will still be recalled, however you are able to decline this offer if you wish. Please note if you decline the vaccination offer, you are able to change your mind at any time during the campaign and will need to contact us to arrange an appointment.

COVID-19 vaccination scam alert

We are aware that some patients are receiving fraudulent calls and text messages offering the COVID-19 vaccination. In some cases, people are asked to press a number on their keypad or to send a text message to confirm they wish to receive the vaccine. Doing so is likely to result in a charge being applied to their phone bill. In other cases, callers are offering the vaccine for a fee or asking for bank details.

The advice is that a vaccine is only available from the NHS and the NHS will contact you when it is your turn. If you receive a call you believe to be fraudulent, hang up. If you believe you have been the victim of fraud or identity theft you should report this directly to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040. Where the victim is vulnerable, report it to Sussex Police online or by calling 101.

Missing or Incorrect COVID-19 Vaccination Records

The Vaccine Data Resolution Service (VDRS) aims to resolve missing or incorrect vaccination records for people vaccinated in England or abroad, who have a current NHS number and are registered with a GP practice in England.

If a patient believes they have missing or incorrect COVID-19 vaccination data, please ring 119 (option 1 then option 4) and ask the call agent to make a referral to the VDRS team. They will respond within five working days.

Please note: 119 and VDRS call agents will not provide clinical advice.
