Our healthcare team

Our healthcare team includes four GP partners as well as practice nurses, health care assistants, health coaches, nurse practitioners, paramedics and an in-house pharmacist. They are supported by our practice manager, and administrative and reception staff.

Doctors

Our GPs deal with medical problems where you may feel acutely ill, or for follow up for an ongoing medical problem. Read more about our doctors and their training and medical interests. As a training practice we often have GP registrars and medical students working at the practice.

Nursing team

At Farmdene Health Centre we have a nursing team which consists of nurse practitioners, practice nurses and health care assistants.

Our nurse practitioners are highly qualified members of the team who have developed their nursing skills through experience and further qualifications to be independent clinicians who are able to see and treat most minor illnesses and aliments. They are also qualified prescribers so as well as being able to give you advice they can also issue suitable medication for your treatment.

Our practice nurses deal with a wide range of conditions and health concerns including chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, COPD), dressings , routine care and immunisations.

Our health care assistants carry out blood tests and other routine health checks for our patients.

Practice Manager

The practice manager is responsible for strategic and financial planning, service development and ensuring the smooth running of the whole practice and team. She is always keen to receive your positive comments and will also deal efficiently with any patient complaints.

Reception and administration staff

Our reception team is the first port of call for many of our patients when booking appointments or making enquires. We also have an administrative team and a medical sectary to support our clinical team and patients.
